For the evolution test, you will have two possible essay options, of which one will be chosen for the test. You will be expected to write a 5-paragraph essay on the topic chosen. You will be allowed to use one index card during the test, on which you may write only your prepared thesis statement for each essay choice. The two topics are below.
1. What scientific thought was available to Charles Darwin prior to his journey on the HMS Beagle, and how did this information help him to form his theory of evolution?
2. What are the major sources of evidence that Charles Darwin was able to collect on his journey on the HMS Beagle and that he used to support his theory of evolution?
